Important Changes @ theREALiVIPSUBS; YGBB, Korean Names, Summer Terminations

 A lot has been changing around here lately and here's a summary of the important things that our viewers and forum members need to know. This topic may be updated periodically with other important changes in the future.

  • theREALiVIPSUBS is now the official subteam of YG-BB.NET! This means that we will post all our releases at YGBB and take requests from YGBB forum members. We have our own section under the YGBB Recording Studio category which you can visit here: http://www.yg-bb.net/index.php?showforum=78 (login required).

    We are still keeping theREALiVIPSUBS.com because it is our home, so nothing will change for our forum members here. YGBB forum members who meet the post count requirement @ YGBB will get to download our releases over there instead of only over here.

    YGBB is the first internataional English Big Bang fan forum, which opened before Big Bang's official debut in 2006. They've recently gotten a new domain name, YG-BB.net, and moved over from InvisionFree to the better forum system, IPB. YGBB is a really great place to meet and have fun with other iVIPs so I hope many Big Bang fans will register an account there and join in the fun. :)


  • We'll be changing the way we write Korean names in our subs. Until now we've been writing them like

    Kwon Jiyong, Dong Youngbae, Choi Seunghyun, Kang Daesung, Lee Seunghyun

    But now we will use a capital letter to distinguish the two or three syllables in a Korean given name. Example:

    Kwon JiYong, Dong YoungBae, Choi SeungHyun, Kang DaeSung, Lee SeungHyun

    We will make exceptions for some Korean names like Jinu of Jinusean and Sandara of 2NE1.

    Not including KM Idol World Ep 5 and Documentary Episodes 10 & 11, all new releases from now on will have this changed method of writing names.


  • We're in the middle of Inactive Member Summer Terminations to release all deadweight from our subteam. All received applications will not be processed until this period is over, which will be this weekend.


  • theREALiVIPSUBS YouTube Favorites = Big Bang Catalog.
    Until recently we haven't utilized our favorites list on our youtube channel, but I had the idea that it would be good for us to try to favorite every un-subbed Big Bang video that has been uploaded to YouTube so that on our channel, iVIPs can have somewhat of a Big Bang catalog that they can look through and more easily find interesting videos they want to be subbed. It would be great if iVIPs help us build our catalog by sending us youtube links to BB vids that we haven't subbed yet so that we can add them to our favorites. You may email or private message links to us through our forum, our official Gmail email account, YouTube, Veoh, or Twitter.
